What it answers
Could a buyer verify any of this without leaving the page?
- Which of your claims are proven. Evidence on the page itself, checkable by a stranger in seconds.
- Which are supported but hard to find. The evidence exists somewhere you own and no visitor will ever find it.
- Which are empty. Unverifiable as written, and true of every competitor in your category.
- What you already own and are not using. A rating, a warranty, a named partner, a guarantee, a review that says something your marketing never has.
- The one gap costing you the most, and what to do about it first.
The blueprint
What actually happens.
- Your homepage, in full
- Any page whose purpose is proof: about, why us, reviews, warranty, credentials
- Your public review record, where the category has one
- Consistency checks across contact details, links and duplicated copy
- The headline finding, stated in two sentences
- A claim-by-claim ledger with a verdict and the evidence behind each
- An inventory of proof you own and are not using
- A fix list ranked by what it costs to leave it
- A stated list of what was checked and what was not
What it does not answer
Whether any of it matters to a buyer.
The audit tests one thing: can a claim be verified. It does not test whether the claim moves a decision, and it cannot tell you what you should be claiming instead. A claim can be fully proven and still change nobody's mind.
Answering that requires customer evidence, a competitive teardown and an honest look at what your operation can actually deliver. That is the Proof Study.
Questions
Trust Audit FAQs
Why is it free?
Because it is the fastest way to show you how I think, and because most of it runs on a repeatable process rather than a week of my time. It is also the honest version of a sales call: instead of telling you I find proof gaps, I find yours and send them to you.
Is it automated?
Partly. Extracting claims, sorting them and cross-checking your public record follow a fixed process. Choosing which finding actually matters, and reading your reviews for capabilities you have never claimed, is judgment. Every audit is read by me before it is sent.
Will you tell me things I do not want to hear?
Yes, though rarely in the way people expect. Most audits find companies claiming less than they have earned, not more. Where a claim is contradicted by public evidence, I say so and show you the source, because a buyer could find it in ten seconds anyway.
What if my claims are fine?
Then the audit says so. Manufacturing criticism to create a sales opening would be the same thing the audit exists to expose.
Do I have to talk to anyone?
No. You get a link. If you want to talk about it, say so. If you do not, I will not chase you.
Can you audit more than the homepage?
The free version covers your homepage claims traced to wherever the proof lives, which for most companies is the page that matters. Product pages, campaign landing pages and multi-brand portfolios are in scope for the Proof Study.
